Well, I've been dieting now for 4 days... 4 very long days!
I currently weigh 192lb and would like to get down to about 160lb. I decided that blogging about my weight-loss experience might help me keep going! Right now I want to throw my slim-fast vanilla shake in the bin and get a Domino's delivered, but instead I will just slowly consume my 230 calorie meal in a glass and enjoy it...
I've had a few ups and downs in the last few days but overall I feel quite happy with my progress.
Day 1
I had 1198 calories and burnt 60 on the Wii. I found it pretty easy but have never looked forward to a apple and grape snack from tesco's that much in my life! I find the shakes really handy because I can have one before I leave the house in the morning without really having to wake myself up! for dinner that night I had Tesco easy Fish Pie... all the ingredients for £5 serves 4 so I froze the other portions for other nights (each potion 444 calories so fits in nicely to my slim-fast plan).
Day 2
The first day where I really started to drink the right amount of water! oh and the arrival of my iPhone 4S.
I had 1227 calories and no exercise apart from running to the O2 shop at 7:30 am to get into the queue ( I was 20th in case anyone wants to know) I even managed to go into Greggs with my mate, watch him buy a Yum Yum and a sausage bean and cheese bake and sit in the car whilst he ate them. I still feel I only managed this because I had my new phone to play with. Day 2 felt very easy because I was distracted by the phone and work so I didn't really notice any cravings for food I just ate my snacks and shakes and had a lovely dinner (reheated fish pie... which was actually just as tasty as the night before)
Day 3- Diet fail.
I exercised in the morning (burnt 73 calories), had my breakfast shake, walked to the train station (burnt 169 calories) and then I arrived at my destination.
First thing I had to drink, CIDER! It tasted wonderful, I suddenly thought Who needs food when they can drink cider instead.... LIQUID DIET!
The plan was very flawed. Despite my excellent idea of only having 1 pint I managed to knock back Cider (1 pint), Budweiser (1 and a half bottles), Peroni (1 pint) and Franziskaner(1 pint). Plan LIQUID DIET failed. Made worse by the slice of Bruschetta and a Pizza Diavola I had for my dinner.
I won't lie, I loved every minute of my night out last night and because I didn't have my lunch time shake or any snacks during the day I only ended up about 600 calories over my 1200 limit. The fact that most of them were empty calories from alcohol does not upset me in the slightest because they did not feel empty at the time!
Today, Day 4
I started fresh and put last nights failure behind me. Up out of bed, slimfast shake for breakfast, new 35 minute work out on the Wii (165 caloroes burnt!) and now I need to decide whether or not to go to the supermarket with my husband or maybe do some work... supermarket will probably win that competition.
I'll be updating this blog every day throughout my diet so feel free to leave words of encouragement whilst I fantasize about walking/jogging to McDonald's and demanding 3 Large Big Mac meals. If any one is interested walking to my nearest McDonald's (2.2 miles away) wouldn't even burn enough calories for one Big Mac. Sad times.
Keep up the good work ...it's so hard going without ur Favourite foods .....and it's really depressing that ur fav foods always seem to be bad for you..... good tip home made veg soup dosn't have many calories get a flask and take it to work for lunch, keep up with ur good work. I have some weight watchers recipes if ur interested in getting copies. :) x
